Starting 2016: Bruxelles, Gent, Elst and Amsterdam!

First off, I hope you will have a 2016 in which you do what you want with a smile and mutual consent and lots of fun, learn new skills, master acquired skills that you like still and take part in direct actions that show resilience and creativity. In spite of everything! And sing/dance/play whenever you want to. (And that you are not stuck on a border of Fortress Europe in the cold)

Secondly, I wanted to tell you about this text, written by David Rovics on Armand, a legendary, political singer who died last year. And tell you about these and these initiatives that are currently trying to help people stuck on borders in the cold.

Thirdly, I wanted to tell you where I’ll be playing next month:

Friday the 8th of January

Saturday the 9th of January

‘t Landhuis, Gent, Bite Back benefiet, with Sprank, Ewoud (Ex-sensual noise) and the ‘Landhuis impro bluegrass band’ (with Steven of Aleph Hawk). Starts at 19:30 with food. Music starts at 20:30

Sunday the 10th of January

On sunday we will come back to Sprank’s home, Boerderij Rijzenburg in Elst, to play at their (probably) last ever ‘People’s Kitchen’/Voku night..

Sunday the 17th of January

Birthday party at a secret location in Amsterdam. If you really want to come over drop me a line and I’ll ask the host;) Gosia Kaczmarek en Erin Tjin A Ton will be there too, constructing a miniature theatre performance, under the ‘Two Hands’ moniker.

Thursday 21st of January

Templo Diez, the alt-country-noir group that I sing with sometimes, will play at the Dokhuis Galerie, here’s the whole thing, i.e. where to go, when we will start (21:30), if there’s food (yes!).
